20 July 2013 - A tribute to Simon & Garfunkel , performed by Marcato- R80/person, Kids under 12 free - Limited seats - book early to guarrantee free seats!

Marcato’s tribute Simon and Garfunkel are coming to Mosselbay for the first time! This wonderfully entertaining tribute features the iconic music of the world’s greatest duo.

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel grew up in Queens, New York in the 1960s and dominated the international music scene for the next 50 years. Renowned for their poetic song writing about inner city life, their gentle melodic harmonies and the recurring tensions in their more than 50 year friendship, the duo are responsible for some of the most recognizable music of the 20th century. “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, “The Boxer”, “The Sounds of Silence” & “Homeward Bound”, are all classic Simon & Garfunkel songs that defined the character of classic Folk Rock music, and they can all be heard in this show.

The talented Ben van Zyl and Pieter Smit (also known as Marcato), are the musical force whose classic interpretation of the definitive tunes manage to breathe life into familiar favorites such as “America”, “The 59th Street Bridge Song” and “Mrs Robinson”. Old Friends will create new Simon & Garfunkel fans and established fans are sure to leave with goose bumps.

The show is written and directed by Richard H Nosworthy and produced by Mel Botes, the acclaimed force that brought you the celebrated Pink Floyd tribute show; Crazy Diamond.

Vote for your favorite band

There are so many music genres that it is almost impossible to list them all. Yet, there are music lovers and devoted fans for each music genre and band or artist. Music taste is a unique and individual preference and differ from person to person. At the Barnyard we understand that it is a difficult task to attempt to satisfy everyone's music taste. This page is therefore created specifically for you, the fan. Please tell us which local band or artist is your favourite. This will help us in understanding the specific music taste of our clients and if we get enough requests for the same band or artist, we will book them at our theatre. So, be a sport, help us to help you!
