With a capacity of 220 for live music events or plays and up to 150 people for weddings and functions where a sit down meal is served, it is the ideal venue to host your event.
The theatre has a rustic atmosphere and great sound and lighting equipment as well as state of the art HD multimedia systems. The Barnyard Theatre is rated as the best live music venue in South Africa due to the excellent acoustics and the intimate setting of the lower and upper galleries.
The beautiful gardens and historic buildings surrounding the theatre allows for great photo opportunities and the theatre itself offers a unique ‘shabby chic’ setting.
There is ample parking for more than 150 motor vehicles and a shuttle service can also be arranged. The Barnyard Theatre also offer accommodation in the historic adjoining guest house and full catering options are available. The fully licensed bar offers alcoholic beverages at a reasonable rate and wine can be sourced directly from various cellars at affordable rates.

Bar arrangements:
The Barnyard Mossel Bay is a fully licensed venue. It is not permitted to bring any alcohol onto the Barnyard premises. The Barnyard, however has a supply agreement with Van Loveren Wineries and can therefore provide Van Loveren wines at discounted prices.
Extras:
The Barnyard is unique in offering added extras like a shuttle service for your guests, up-market self catering accommodation and with our extensive contact list we can even arrange live bands and entertainment to suit your needs!
